Our dance program for children develops musicality, rhythm, movement skills, coordination, expression and creativity. It also encourages class participation, focus and confidence.
It is perfectly suited for children 3 to 7 years old. All children’s program classes are open to boys and girls.
Faculty members use the American Ballet Theater syllabus as a template for their instruction, which provides a solid foundation for all styles of dance. Children’s Division classes create a nurturing environment that enables each child to begin a lifelong love for dance.
All classes meet once per week and are offered at the Southold Studios located in the Historic Colfax Cultural Center and at Stanley Clark School.
In this class, students will develop a greater sense of confidence and self-esteem within an environment that encourage expressiveness and joy of movement. Children learn increased control and coordination in their movements. They also enhance their listening, cooperation and social skills in a nurturing environment.
